My work is a balance between process and personal narrative that develops during making. The themes I am currently exploring center around conceptions of masculinity, moral conflict and religiosity. These thoughts stem from an interest in my own subjectivity and how we build concepts of self and identity. The narratives in my work are interchangeable but the curiosity for how we perceive our personal identity and morality remains the constant. I engage with these topics through a direct interaction with the materiality of drawing and print making. I aim to visualize my ideas through mark making that maintains a sense of honesty, vulnerability and directness.
